 Shipping and Freight Services

Q1: What types of freight services does DN Freight offer?

 A: We provide customs brokerage, international and domestic freight services via air, ocean, and road, including FCL/LCL shipping, cross-border trucking, and express air freight. Our team also specializes in multimodal logistics, reefer containers, and hazardous cargo transport.

Q2: Can you help with urgent or time-critical shipments?

A: Absolutely. We offer AOG (Aircraft on Ground) cargo handling, same-day air freight bookings, and emergency road transport. We’re known for meeting tight delivery deadlines across Southern Africa.

Customs Clearance

Q3: Are you a licensed customs broker?

 A: Yes. DN Freight is fully licensed and SARS-accredited, allowing us to handle import/export clearance, tariff classification, VAT deferment, and documentation across all major South African ports and airports.

Q4: What documents are required for importing goods into South Africa?

 A: Common documents include:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Bill of lading or airway bill
  • Import permit (if required)
  • Certificate of origin

Q5: Can you assist with SADC or EUR1 certificate preparation?

Q7: Do you offer cross-border logistics to other African countries?

A: Yes. We operate road freight services to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Lesotho, and Eswatini. We manage documentation, customs, and delivery to final destination.

Q8: Can you handle shipments that don’t pass through South Africa?

A: Yes we handle cross-trade services. We manage shipments from one country to another, even if the cargo doesn’t enter South Africa. It’s ideal for international clients with suppliers and buyers in different regions.  We also handle merchanting transactions involving Switch Bills of Lading.

Q12: What happens if my cargo is delayed or lost?

 A: We provide full transparency and tracking throughout the journey. In case of delay, we work on re-routing options. In case of loss we assist with the claims process.
